Am I ready to date again?
This question spiraled through my head as I contemplated dating just four months after my husband.
Seriously friends!
During the early months of grief, I felt so lonely. I craved intimacy, a snuggle sesh on the couch, a nice dinner out, or just a grown-up conversation that didn't involve my kids or grief. I was curious about dating, but afraid that it might be too soon.
I felt guilty for desiring someone else other than my husband -- I mean he just passed away less then four months ago! I was also worried about bringing up my widow status on a date -- would I scare my date away with my widow status? Or, would I get too emotional talking about my dead husband?
On top of my own readiness, I was also concerned about what friends and family would think of me. Were they ready to see me with someone new?
I loved my late husband, but I also couldn't deny my desire to explore a relationships with someone new.
All of these conflicting thoughts & emotions left me feeling overwhelmed, anxious and plain confused.
I wished that I had a safe space to talk about my concerns and even an expert to help guide me.
That's why, I created my FREE Love After Loss Workshop for widows and widowers who are curious about dating!
